How much will a new ZOOMJUICE franchise business cost me?
Establishing and building a new ZOOMJUICE retail outlet is a complex project and the cost is variable depending upon a number of factors. A broad range for costs including shop-fitting costs, equipment purchases, shop design fees, legal fees, initial franchise fee, training fees, rent in advance and working capital would be $150,000.00 to $250,000.00 (see attached Estimates for a more detailed breakdown).
How much money will I make from the ZOOMJUICE business?
ZOOMJUICE does not provide new business franchisees with business projections. How much money a new business owner will make depends more on how hard the owner works, how closely the owner follows the franchise business system, how well the owner manages his staff, his money and his business and how much the owner borrows to establish the new business.
What qualifications do I need to run a ZOOMJUICE business?
There are no formal qualifications required by ZOOMJUICE of new franchisees. However, a ZOOMJUICE business is a retail business that must maintain high levels of customer service, high presentation standards for shop, stock and staff and a high degree of cleanliness. ZOOMJUICE looks for people who can demonstrate the following: people who are hard-working, can follow work within a business system, are preferably husband and wife teams, who have an eye for cleanliness and personal presentation and who are customer service and people oriented.
What ongoing fees will I have to pay to the franchisor?
The fees paid to ZOOMJUICE during the normal course of business include a franchise fee (6% of weekly sales) and an advertising levy (2% of weekly sales).
What do I get for the franchise fees I pay to ZOOMJUICE?
The 6% ongoing franchise fee or royalty provides franchisees with the ongoing right to use the ZOOMJUICE retail system. This also allows the franchisor to provide ongoing support of and development to the franchise system.
How many hours do I need to work in running my ZOOMJUICE business?
Generally speaking, a person owning and operating his or her own business should expect to work long hours. ZOOMJUICE expects franchisees to be personally involved in the day-to-day operations of the business and a new franchisee should expect to contribute at least 40 hours per week into the business.
Do I get an exclusive territory for my ZOOMJUICE franchise?
The ZOOMJUICE franchise agreement provides details of the territory offered with the franchise. The franchise territory is normally limited to a shopping centre or local shopping area.
Can I open more than one ZOOMJUICE franchise business?
Franchisees who can demonstrate that they possess the business and retail management skills necessary to successfully operate a single ZOOMJUICE outlet will normally be given permission to open a further outlet.
Can I sell my ZOOMJUICE franchise business?
At any time during the term of the franchise agreement a franchisee may sell the franchise business and the franchisor will not unreasonably withhold consent to the transfer, providing the franchise is operating in full compliance with the franchise agreement
What happens at the end of the franchise agreement term?
At the end of the term of the franchise agreement, a number of things may happen. If the ZOOMJUICE franchise business is located in a shopping centre and a new lease is offered to the franchisor, under normal circumstances and if the franchisee is operating in full compliance with the franchise agreement, a new franchise agreement will be offered to the franchisee. In instances where a new lease is not offered or the franchisee does not wish to continue in the premises, Zoomjuice will attempt to relocate the franchisee to an alternate location.
Who holds the lease over the premises of the franchise business?
Under the ZOOMJUICE franchise system, ZOOMJUICE normally holds the head lease over the franchise business premises. The franchisee operates the business under an Outlet License Agreement and Franchise Agreement.
Is ZOOMJUICE a member of the Franchise Council of Australia Ltd?
No, but ZOOMJUICE will become a member of the FCA in the near future.
Should I consult a lawyer or accountant to advise me in this venture?
ZOOMJUICE very strongly recommends that every franchise applicant receive advice from both a lawyer and financial advisor or accountant before entering into a franchise agreement. A franchise agreement is a complex document and the obligations and responsibilities contained in the franchise agreement should be fully explained to new franchisees prior to them signing the document.
